One of our longtime clients is an eBay seller who asked for a special service for hosting photos of her auction items, in order to accommodate our client PictureStorage.net was born in 2004.

images on eBay, blogs and message boards or most anywhere you can supply a link to your photos.

USING YOUR PictureStorage.net WEB SPACE

FTP - FROM YOUR PictureStorage.net Control Panel

You can upload images from your computer to your PictureStorage.net space. Go to your Control Panel - www.YourSubDomain.PictureStorage.net/cpanel. (You will be asked to enter your userID and password to gain access to this. Click on "File Manager" in the Site Management Tools section. This will open a new window. Click on public_html folder. Click on "Upload File(s)". You will be taken to a page which will allow you to select up to 12 images by clicking on the browse button and selecting each image to upload from your computer. When all images are selected, click on Upload button. When uploading is complete, you will be taken back to your directory with list of all files you have uploaded to PictureStorage.net. If you have more images to upload, repeat this process.

When you want to delete old images from your space, click on file name on left of window, then on "Delete File" in right side of window.

FTP PROGRAM -

You may prefer to use an FTP application to transfer photos from your computer to your web space. There are a variety of such programs available, such as WS-FTP and Coffe Cup's Direct FTP. (We do not recommend any particular program.) If you use an auction management application, such as eBay's Seller's Assistant Pro, an FTP function may be built into that for your use.

FTP SET-UP -

FTP Settings -

In WS-FTP, you will complete the fields as described below. Other FTP programs may have different terminology, but this should indicate the information you'll need to enter into your FTP software.

Profile Name - Name You Designate for your space
HostName/Address - YourSubDomain.PictureStorage.net
User ID - Name you entered in Order Form. This was emailed to you in your Order confirmation letter.
Password - This was emailed to you in your Order confirmation letter.
Save Password Checkbox - Check if you want to save your settings

To upload pictures using an FTP application, open your FTP software. You will then select all files you wish to transfer to your web space. You may select one or as many as you wish to transfer, depending on the functions of your FTP software.

Blackthorne Pro (BTPro) Settings -

In BTPro, from Tools (menu, top of window), select Options, then Picture Hosts. Click on the New button to add your picturestorage.net info.

Username - Name you entered in Order Form. This was emailed to you in your Order confirmation letter. (Use upper and lower case exactly as defined.)
Password - This was emailed to you in your Order confirmation letter. (Use upper and lower case exactly as defined.)
Host Address - YourSubDomain.PictureStorage.net (Click Test Connection - you should receive the message "Connection passed." as in sample below.)
Host Subdirectory - Click on the Browse... button to the right of this field. If you want to use the default location, select public_html. You may create a new sub-folder if desired. If you use public_html, your picture location will be, for example, yoursubdomain.picturestorage.net/imagename.jpg.)
Pictures Web Address - this will be http://yoursubdomain.picturestorage.net

EMAIL

Your account with PictureStorage.net provides you with one email account. By default, your email address will be YourSubDomain@YourSubDomain.PictureStorage.net. If you wish to change your email name to JohnDoe@JohnDoe.PictureStorage.net, for example, go to your Control Panel. - www.YourSubDomain.PictureStorage.net/cpanel. Click on Add/Remove Emails.

SENDING & RECEIVING EMAIL

You may send and receive your PictureStorage.net email through Outlook or other email software or on the internet though your PictureStorage.net Contol Panel. To view and send your email through your Control Panel, click on the "Read Webmail" link. To go directly to webmail use http://yoursubdomain.picturestorage.net/webmail. This takes you to a page on which you'll click on the "Squirrel Mail" link. Your username is your account name and the password will be what you created when setting up the account. This will open another window from which you read or send email.

DISK SPACE USED

It will be up to you to delete old files from your space to make certain you have enough room for newer files. You may check your usage by clicking on the "Disk Usage Viewer" icon on your main Control Panel page. Click on the "Show Top Level" button on the new page to view how much space is used in public_html. If you determine that you need additional space, contact us at support@PictureStorage.net. We offer 150MB additional storage for $1($10 per yr.) or 250 mb for $1.50( $15 per yr.). Premium Plan $12.95 mo. or $139 yearly includes additional email accounts and 4000 mb storage.
